Hippocrates / Knowledge Management for the Trainers in the Healt Field
test

Germany

Originally the dissemination conference was planned in November, 4th in Göttingen. Unfortunately, the conference had to be cancelled due to various reasons, among which the unlucky coincidence that the location that had been booked for the occasion had to be closed for static reasons. Thus, the decision was taken to postpone the conference to after Christmas. The new date was January, 26th. This time, the conference was planned in BUPNET’s premises in Lüneburg where various training courses dealing with healthcare related topics have been held.

Local and regional stakeholders in the healthcare sector were invited to attend the half-day conference which had more of a workshop character, i.e. people were given the opportunity to exchange and discuss relevant topics.

After an introduction to the project Hippocrates, the portal with the training package was demonstrated. Exemplary training modules were shown partially in paper version, so that people could go through them at their pace. The interest in the training package was high and people discussed the potential implementation of training modules in existing training offers.
In a second workshop a discussion and further reflection on the role of the trainer and the application of knowledge management in the health sector as well as the possibility to integrate knowledge management in an existing quality management system were discussed. It became clear that knowledge management has not been wide spread yet and that it is still unknown territory for healthcare organisation.
